Prof.
K.N.Chandrasekharan Pillai is
Director of the Indian Law Institute. After B.Sc. from the
Kerala University, he did LL.B. and LL.M. from Delhi
University securing first rank in the LL.M. Later, he did his
LL.M. and S.J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School,
Ann Arbor, USA.
He practiced law for a while before joining the Campus
Law Centre, Delhi University. He joined the Cochin
University and continued to be the Director, School of Legal
Studies. He was
Director – designate of the National Institute of Advanced
Legal Studies, Cochin.
Currently he is the Editor of the Journal Section of
Supreme Court Cases, Lucknow and Journal of the Indian Law
Institute, New Delhi.
He is also on the Editorial Board of the Cochin
University Law Review, Academy Law Review, Kerala Bar Council
News, and Bangalore Law Journal. He has written
extensively on different topics in law. Dr. Pillai is author
of several books.

Dr.
S. Sivakumar is
Research Professor.
His doctoral work is on Law and Media. He has published many
articles in reputed national and international research
journals and presented papers in national and international
conferences. His
projects on “Criminal Justice Administration in Chhattisgarh”
and “Criminal Justice Administration in Kerala have been
published. Dr.
Sivakumar has visited many Universities and Institutions
abroad.

Mr.
Thomas Paul
is Associate Research Professor. He did his Master’s
degree in Law from Nagpur University and Diploma in Labour Law
from the Indian Law Institute. He is the Co-editor of
the Annual Survey of Indian Law and the Journal of the Indian
Law Institute for many years. He also contributes
regularly to these publications. He is currently
working on “Laws relating to Child
Labour”.

Dr.
Furqan Ahmad is
Associate Research Professor. He did his M.A.
(Sociology) from Lucknow University, LL.M. from AMU Aligarh,
and Ph.D. from Rohil Khand University, Bareilly (U.P.). He is author of a book
“Triple
Talaq”. He has
also contributed about forty articles including book reviews
particularly on Muslim Law and Environmental Law in national
and international journals. He was associated with
National Law Institute University, Bhopal as Visiting
Professor of Environmental Law for a
tri-semester.

Ms.
Jyoti Dogra Sood is
working as an Assistant Research Professor. She is a gold
medallist and did her LL.B. and LL.M. from Himachal Pradesh
University. Her
area of specialization is Criminal Law and Environmental
Law. She is
presently the Assistant Editor of the Journal of the Indian
Law Institute.

Dr.
S.S. Jaswal,
Assistant Research Professor is interested in Constitutional
Law. His doctoral
thesis is on Reservation Policy on Scheduled Castes: A
Socio-Legal Study.
He has to his credit two books on “Child Labour and the
Law” and “Reservation Policy and the Law”. He has written on a
wide range of subjects in leading law journals.

Ms.
Versha Vahini,
Assistant Research Professor has done LL.M. from NLSIU,
Bangalore and is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Indian Law
Institute. She
has taught at the premier law institutes such as National
Institute of Law, Faridabad; National University of Juridical
Sciences, West Bengal; National Law Institute University,
Bhopal. She has
attended four weeks training programmes on “Law Teaching and
Research Skills” in September 2003 in Cardiff, United
Kingdom. She is
handling the online course on “Intellectual Property Rights
and Information Technology in Internet Age”. Her area of
specialization is Corporate Law.

Ms.
Lisa P. Lukose ,
Assistant Research Professor is B.A. (English), LL.B.
(University of Pune) and LL.M. School of Indian Legal Thought
SILT from M.G.
University. She
has secured First Rank with Gold Medal in LL.B. Her subject of
specialization is Intellectual Property Laws. She has written
articles in journals and books and presented papers on
Intellectual Property Laws in a number of regional and
national seminars.

Ms.
Jaya V.S.
is Assistant Research Professor. She did her LL.B. from
Kerala University and LL.M. from Cochin University of Science
and Technology, Cochin securing First Rank with Gold
Medal. As part of
her internship at Indian Council of Arbitration, New Delhi,
she did extensive research work on a project titled
“International Commercial Arbitration in the Indian
Context”. She has
also written an Article on “Competency and Jurisdiction of
Arbitral Tribunal: Stat”. She is the co-editor
of the Book titled, “Disaster Management Law” published by the
Indian Law Institute.

Mr.
Vishnu Konoorayar K.,
Assistant Research Professor secured his B.A.(L), LL.B. from
Mangalore University and LL.M. from CUSAT with specialization
in Human Rights Laws and Commercial Laws. His LL.M. dissertation
was on Cyber Law.
Before joining ILI he was working as a Lecturer in
School of Legal Studies, Kannur University and WB NUJS,
Kolkata. He is
the co-editor of the book titled “Disaster Management Law”.
His areas of interest are Natural Resources Law, WTO Studies
and Agricultural Laws.

Mr. P. Puneeth,
Assistant Research Professor has done his B.A.L., LL.B. (five
year) and LL.M. from Bangalore University, Karnataka. His subject of
specialization is Constitutional Law and Legal Order. Earlier he had worked
as a Lecturer at Dr. RML College of Law, Bangalore. His area of interest
is Constitutional Law. |

Ms. Arya A.
Kumar, Assistant Research Professor, did her B.A. LL.B. (Hons)
from Mahatama Gandhi University, Kerala and LL.M. from Cochin University of
Science and Technology, Cochin with specilisation in Human Rights Laws and
Consumer Laws. Earlier she had worked as a lecturer at National Law Institute
University, Bhopal. She has published an article titled "Protection of Women
from Domestic Violence Act" in Cochin University Law Review (CLUR, Dec. 2005).

Mr. Dalip Kumar is Registrar of the Institute. He
did his B.Sc. (Hons.), M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Hans Raj College, Master of
Engineering with distinction from Delhi College of Engineering and LL.B. from
University of Delhi. He has more
than 25 years of experience in academics and educational administration.
Some of the important posts held by him are: Deputy Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh
University, Deputy Director, Directorate of Training and Technical Education,
Government of NCT Delhi; Administrative Officer, DIHMC, Ministry of Tourism and
Project Coordinator of the World Bank assisted Technician Education Project.
He was deputed by Government of NCT Delhi for three
months Training Course on Environmental Pollution Control in
the Technical University Halifax, Canada.
