Illuminating
Legal Intellect is ILI's motto.
|
|
The dynamics of evolving legal norms
need be studied in depth if law is to be imaginatively and
effectively employed as an instrument of social engineering.
Realisation of this fact as early as in 1956 had made the
scholars in India to establish the Indian
Law Institute for doing research in law. During the
last five decades its performance has been
brilliant. Its research output has been impressive. Its
record of disseminating legal knowledge has been excellent.
Its outstanding contributions including not only research
publications but also dissemination of knowledge through its
popular PG Diploma courses in various branches of law.
Its pre-eminence as a hub of legal research and training
made the authorities to declare it as a
Deemed University in
2004.
|
|
Since
it became a University its has been offering LL.M. and Ph.D. alongwith the
PG Diploma courses in various branches. Our experience has widened our vision
and enriched our perception of law in the global context. We have learnt how
strong and effective teaching could be if it is supported by research. Today we
release that it is essential to club research and teaching to produce
socially-concious professionals.
|
|
We are a bit different from
other teaching institutions. Our speciality is not only in emphasising research
but also in maintaining discipline. Those who want to be better professionals
by following our strict regimen are welcome to join any of the courses offered
by the ILI. We assure all help to make them better professionals. Our doors
remain open for them. |
